DRAC is a contemporary art centre in Drummondville dedicated to the dissemination of contemporary art practices. The centre is located in the Maison des arts Desjardins Drummondville.

DRAC is a member of the Société des musées du Québec. DRAC is a museum accredited by the Ministry of Culture and Communications.

Mission

DRAC’s mission is to contribute to the development of contemporary art practices within a multidisciplinary framework that fosters the advancement of new knowledge while also placing emphasis on partnership and collaborative projects as well as residencies.

In presenting accessible and quality art that resonates with local communities, DRAC creates and offers cultural mediation activities that encourage the development of its audiences and the emergence of an art community in Drummondville.

Vision

DRAC’s vision is to contribute to making Drummondville and its region into a leading hub and major influence of contemporary and digital art. DRAC wishes to share its unique approach with artists and professionals working in contemporary and digital art in Quebec, Canada, and abroad.

Sustainable Development

In January 2021, the Maison des arts Desjardins Drummondville and DRAC adopted an Action Plan for Sustainable Development that aims to contribute to the collective effort by implementing initiatives and methods that encourage sustainable development in all their operations. A wide range of concrete and structural actions have been carried out, initiated, or are planned with the aim of making MADD and DRAC into ever more ethical, efficient, inclusive, and approachable organizations that respect their human and financial resources.

Healthy Business

Groupe entreprises en santé has granted the Maison des arts Desjardins Drummondville and DRAC Level 2 of the Reconnaissance entreprise en santé [Recognition of a Healthy Business] thanks to all the effort that our respective teams have expended in recent months to promote health and wellness in the workplace. Through this process, we aim to take concrete steps to improve our work environment in a sustainable manner, develop healthy habits, and reduce stress.
