About
Led by the Abenaki Museum’s program facilitators, this workshop invites participants to create a bookmark using ash wood and sweetgrass, inspired by traditional ash basketry techniques. Preceded by a presentation on the history of this craft, the crafting process, and issues surrounding the ash tree, this activity offers an introduction to an ancestral craft that is still very much alive today.
There are two available dates for the workshop: Tuesday, November 10, 2026, or Tuesday, March 9, 2027. Registration is required to participate in the workshop. Please note that the workshop will be held in French.
This workshop is free and made possible thanks to the Entente de développement culture de la Ville de Drummondville.
