Ash wood basketry workshop

Led by the Abenaki Museum’s program facilitators, this workshop invites participants to create a bookmark using ash wood and sweetgrass, inspired by traditional ash basketry techniques. Preceded by a presentation on the history of this craft, the crafting process, and issues surrounding the ash tree, this activity offers an introduction to an ancestral craft that is still very much alive today.
